Purpose of the role:

Manage the Financial Planning team to ensure delivery of excellent financial planning and client care, as well as high performance. Supporting with ad-doc projects as and when required.

The candidate:

To be considered for this exciting role you must be a seasoned team manager, with a track record of driving high performance within a financial planning team, a leader who is passionate about coaching individuals to deliver excellent client care and results. You must be able to demonstrate substantial product and technical knowledge, in addition, hold a Diploma in Financial Planning. This is a remote role, with national travel including working from other office as and when required, and full-time.

Snapshot of the role:

  • Achieving team revenue and business targets set by the Managing Director & Head of Distribution.
  • Lead business development campaigns from concept to design through to delivery, with assistance and support from Business Development Team
  • Ensure the team pro-actively work with the wider group and identify opportunities to cross refer clients
  • Work with Head of Proposition to ensure deployment and understanding of our core proposition within their team.
  • Lead a team of Financial Planners ensuring their continued compliance with KPIs and wider performance measures and manage their performance in line with our internal procedures.
  • Ensure the team focus on delivering an excellent service to all clients, regularly seeking feedback to determine areas that can improve
  • Building effective internal relationships to ensure the smooth flow of client work through the advice process
  • Maintain effectiveness in varying environments and with different tasks, responsibilities, and people including supporting other Group department with key projects, sometimes leading their progress and deployment.
  • Analyse data from various sources and identify the root cause of an outcome i.e., complaints, compliance, KPIs, performance data etc.
  • Express ideas effectively in individual and group situations (including non-verbal communication); adjusting language or terminology to the characteristics and needs of the audience.
  • Maintain and promote social, ethical and organizational norms in conducting internal and external business activities.
  • Establish a course of action for self and/or others to accomplish a specific goal; planning proper assignments of personnel and appropriate allocation of resources.
  • Awareness of operational, regulatory and conduct risk, which may impact on the business. Responsible for reporting to their line manager any risk which may impact on the business.
  • Complete T&C supervisor responsibilities for team

Requirements:

  • Essential - Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent)
  • Desirable - Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning/Chartered Financial Planner or willingness to progress to this
  • CAS holder
  • SPS holder

Interview process: Three stages. 1st stage interview via MS Teams, 2nd stage competency-based interview and presentation face to face Bristol office, 3rd stage MS Teams call with the Managing Director
