A large SEND school in Hillingdon are looking for an experienced and highly-proficient Administrator to join their school on a supply basis.

The Role

In this role you will lead and co-ordinate all administrative functions in order to assist in the smooth running of the school and provide general support services (including PA services) to the Headteacher and wider Leadership Team.

You will take responsibility for a wide range of administration across the school including:

  • Monitoring of support systems/procedures/ policies.
  • Undertake line management responsibilities and co-ordinate and supervise the work of administrative staff
  • Support the organisation and effectiveness of academy events, meetings & visits including preparing documentation, and coordinating catering and hospitality for visitors and functions/events
  • Working with the Partnerships and Enrichment Coordinator manage external communications including the school website, social media platforms and external newsletters and support with the school prospectus.
  • Budget management
  • Complaints coordination acting as the first port of call for complaints.
  • Proof reading for all external correspondence and support with the formatting of documents
  • In conjunction with the Data Manager and Attendance Manager, support the academy pupil admissions process
  • Use and maintain relevant IT systems (e.g. SIMS) producing reports and information as required
  • Provide administrative support to ensure that efficient management of staff absence including oversight of support staff annual leave and the school cover system
  • Oversee first aid practices and processes in conjunction with the Student Services
  • Maintain oversight and access to appropriate training for administrative, curriculum support and site staff

This all through SEND school is based in Hillingdon and is for children and young adults aged 4-19 with a range of learning disabilities including those who may be autistic and those who have physical or sensory needs. The school is part of a wider trust of SEND schools and therefore has a truly specialist approach with excellent shared knowledge, skills and experience across the Trust. There is excellent training and professional development opportunities within the trust and long-term career progression options.
