A leading manufacturer are searching for a Procurement Manager to join their Senior Leadership Team.
This role will play a key position within the Management Team, supporting with informed strategic and operational decision-making.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for Managing the Procurement function and overseeing the company's sourcing capabilities and supply chain. You will have 2 direct reports.
- Forecasting levels of demand for products and services
- Researching the best products and supplies for Value, delivery schedules and quality
- Budget & forecasting responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations
- Negotiate and agree contracts whilst monitoring the quality of service
- Maintain supplier relationships
- Attend supplier meetings and trade conferences
- Work with quality team ensuring products are the best quality
- Develop and implement new strategies within the organisational goals and business plan
- Cost saving strategies
- Identify procurement risks
- Analyse data to produce reports and statistics on spending vs savings
- Leading the team - motivating, training and coaching
- Holding monthly 1-2-1
Your Experience
- Extensive knowledge within Inventory and supply chain management
- CIPS - Level 6 or working towards
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager managing a team
