This critical role will support sustainable sourcing initiatives in partnership with our procurement function, ensuring the success of our corporate strategy focused on growth, innovation, and sustainability.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Manage data, reporting systems, and performance metrics to meet internal and external milestone targets.
  • Collaborate with global procurement, group sustainability, and other functional teams to create systems that enables the business to measure, action, and achieve sustainable sourcing targets.
  • Communicate progress against targets to the Global Head of Procurement and Sustainable Sourcing, Group Sustainability, and key Executive Committees.
  • Prepare results reporting for quarterly Board reports and the Annual Sustainability Impact Report.
  • Work within SAP and Qlik data systems to automate sustainability reporting, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.
  • Focus on milestone reporting priorities including supplier assessments, carbon reduction commitments, certified feedstock purchasing, bio-based materials, and land use.

Key Projects:

  • Support global projects such as Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) data capture for raw materials purchases.
  • Implement the Together for Sustainability (TfS) data capture platform and work with carbon apps.
  • Manage data and due diligence assurance for compliance with European Deforestation Regulations (EUDR).
  • Conduct deep dives into supplier assessments and measure performance against program metrics.
  • Provide data and insights for supply chain reviews and external assessments, and prepare recommendations for performance improvements.

Essentials:

  • Ability to engage other functions and teams towards a common goal
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with sustainability concepts and ideals
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage own priorities
  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience

Desirables:

  • Knowledge of chemistry and processes within the industry
  • Formal sustainability credentials, certifications, or experience
  • Understanding of the procurement/sourcing function
