Support Worker

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to assist a young gentleman with an acquired brain injury in Deeside. This position is specifically for support during college holidays. The role involves accompanying him to various day-to-day activities, including shopping and visits to the gym/spa. The ideal candidate will be a driver, as you will be required to drive the service user's car.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Accompany the young gentleman to various activities such as shopping, gym, and spa visits.
  • Assist with planning and organising daily outings and activities.
  • Ensure safety and provide support throughout all activities.
  • Drive the service user's car to facilitate travel to activities.
  • Engage in social interactions and promote a positive and enjoyable experience during outings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must be a licensed driver with the ability to drive the service user's car.
  • Previous experience in a support worker role, preferably with individuals with brain injuries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions in the best interest of the service user.
  • Patience, resilience, and a genuine interest in supporting individuals with special needs.
