Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Chelmsford
Salary: £50,000
Shift: 9 AM to 5 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified Cost Accountant to maintain the financial integrity of inventory accounts and support various accounting processes within the Teledyne-e2v team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain financial integrity of inventory accounts and process financial inventory transactions.
- Coordinate and execute standard cost accounting processes and updates.
- Oversee physical inventory counts and support business teams on accounting requirements.
- Collaborate with purchasing, planning, and logistics for costing and inventory optimization.
- Ensure compliance with financial controls set by the Group.
- Build effective relationships with stakeholders, including our Beijing Operations Facility.
- Actively participate in the wider Teledyne UK Finance team.
Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant with a minimum of four years of inventory accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing and standard costing environment is advantageous.
- Strong Excel and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and a proactive, 'can-do' approach.
- Team player with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- SC Security Clearance required.
