Interim Commercial Accountant | Outskirts of Maidstone | Up to £65k
Our client is a well-established and successful privately-owned business based in the outskirts of Maidstone, who are looking for acommercial accountant to join the team on a 12 x month fixed-term contract.The person in this role will ideally be able to gain athorough understanding of the business through building working relationships at all levels within the company.
Key responsibilities:
- Creation of financial models and templates for product analysis throughout the business
- Understand and challenge data sources and assumptions to ensure reporting is robust, consistent, and supportable
- Build costing models to gain as much value from non-finance data as possible
- Prepare weekly P&Ls for the business, with detailed variance analysis.
- Ensuring the consignment tracker reconciles to the finance system and packing sheets.
- Ad hoc projects and duties as required.
The ideal candidate:
- Will be fully qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA (candidates qualified by experience will be considered)
- The ideal candidate will have a commercial background and be used to working with non-finance stakeholders
- You will be an excellent communicator and be able to positively influence peers and build rapport and relationships
- The ideal candidate will be highly analytical and inquisitive by nature
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deliverables
- Ability to work well in a team
