Job Description: We seek a skilled and motivated 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support to our clients, ensuring their IT infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong background in cloud technologies, particularly Azure and Office 365, and proficiency in PowerShell and the Windows stack.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd line technical support to clients, troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues.
  • Manage and maintain Azure and Azure Active Directory environments.
  • Utilize PowerShell for automation and scripting tasks.
  • Support and administer Office 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Windows server and desktop environments.
  • Collaborate with the 1st line support team to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
  • Assist in the implementation and management of cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide out-of-hours support as required.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for internal use and client reference.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a 2nd Line Support Engineer or similar role within an MSP environment.
  • Strong expertise in Azure and Azure Active Directory.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Windows server and desktop stack.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration and support.
  • Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate) are highly desirable.

Salary - £35,000 - £40,000 including overtime and on-call allowance
