Macildowie are excited to be working with a brilliant and renowned business based in Loughborough looking to add an energetic and motivated Part Time Purchase Ledger to their team.

Job Title: Purchase Ledger
Location: Loughborough
Contract: Part time, Ongoing Temporary - potential for permanent position
Pay: Up to £14 per hour
Working Hours: Office based, Flexible office hours to fit around school runs or condensed full days

What you'll be doing:

  • Processing Purchase Invoices: Ensuring all supplier invoices are accurately processed in a timely manner, matching them to purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Supplier Payments: Preparing payment runs and ensuring suppliers are paid on time, maintaining positive relationships while managing payment schedules.
  • Statement Reconciliation: Reconciling supplier statements to ensure all invoices are captured and payments are up to date.
  • Handling Queries: Acting as the first point of contact for any purchase ledger queries, liaising with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues quickly.
  • Expense Claims: Verifying and processing staff expense claims, ensuring all are in line with company policy and correctly approved.
  • Maintaining Records: Keeping accurate records of all transactions, ensuring compliance with internal processes and external regulations.
  • Month-End Reporting: Assisting the finance team with month-end closing tasks, including account reconciliations and ledger maintenance.

What we're looking for:

  • Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger or Accounts Payable role
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills for dealing with both suppliers and internal departments
  • Ability to work independently, manage your workload, and meet deadlines
