Data Science Manager
£70,000 per annum plus bonus
Manchester City Centre - hybrid
I am working with an absolutely fantastic global technology brand who are looking for a Data Science Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior/Lead Data Scientist who is looking to take the next step in their career and embark on a really exciting journey within a supportive and collaborative organisation.
You will work alongside a close knit team with the vision for the role to lift Data Science off the ground for Marketing, you will have a blank canvas working closely with one of the fantastic Data Science Managers. The role will be hands-on and as such you will need strong applied Data Science skills being able to understand requirements and design projects end to end.
It is important that you have strong influencing skills and are comfortable articulating and taking the senior leadership team on a journey with you to build a roadmap over the next years understanding the Business and Marketing objectives and making sure that they will deliver value to the business.
In terms of technical skills, they're looking for someone with exposure and experience in the following:
- Data Engineering capabilities - SQL
- Python, (R not relevant)
- DevOps experience to deploy models out in Azure – they will accept AWS however or GCP
- Build end to end pipeline themselves
- Databricks would be useful – they don't use it but good skills to have in how they work there
- Spark SQL
- API – Create and Deploy
- ML – Classification and Regression
The client is looking to pay up to £70,000 per annum plus a fantastic benefits package that includes a bonus of up to 25%.
