Due to a sustained period of growth, a hugely successful precision engineering business is hiring for a CNC Milling Programmer to join their manufacturing team. Known for their ability to provide a quick turn around on complex, high value jobs for customers across Motorsport, Marine and Defence industries, they're looking for a CNC Programmer who can essentially write programmes from scratch, and run the job from start to finish. It's a superb manufacturing facility with modern CNC machinery, tools and equipment needed to make the life of an engineer less stressful.
Responsibilities for the CNC Milling Programmer include -
- Working on a number of 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centres with FANUC controls
- Writing brand new programmes, as well as editing pre written using conversational language
- Full machine setup including tooling, jigs, fixtures, material, speeds and feeds
- Producing low volume precision parts, including bespoke / prototype parts when required
- Carry out in-process inspection using measuring equipment
- Assisting with programme improvements, tooling life and scrap reduction
To be successful in this role, we're looking for the following -
- Strong background in programming multi axis machining centres, using FANUC controls and conversational G Code language
- Capable of manufacturing highly detailed components from a range of materials
- Be able to demonstrate an understanding of materials and modern cutting methods.
- Able to read and interpret customer designs and engineering drawings
Working hours are 39hrs per week, with the option to work either a 4 day or 5 day week
Package on offer for the CNC Milling Programmer includes -
An hourly rate of £17.50 - £18.50 p/h depending on experience
Overtime paid at Time & 1/3 for Weekday, Time & 1/2 Saturday
