Due to continued workload, I am looking for a Design Engineer to work on a 12 month contract based in Stafford, developing heavy duty power trains for many applications.
The successful applicant will design and develop engine components and systems to release to production. The role mainly will be focused on cost down opportunities, looking at design of the engines and delivering cost effective, innovative ways to reduce production costs. Supporting current projects and working on new products.
We are looking for.....
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- 2-3 years hands on experience in a Design Engineering role.
- An understanding of design for manufacturability concepts
- Extensive knowledge of Creo, 3D & 2D AutoCAD
- Microsoft packages knowledge
- Experience in spark ignited engine design
- Mechanical bias experience
Predominantly I am looking at the automotive and aerospace industries, but I am happy to consider others. If you have a static generator, turbines, rotating equipment and mechanical design engineering background, please do get in touch, as I see great transferable skill sets to these market.
