FRS are recruiting a Credit Controller for a global business who's UK Head Office is based in Coventry. The business are based on the West side of Coventry on a business park with plenty of parking available plus good public transport links too.
The business offer hybrid working after a probation period - 2 days per week working from home. They also include private healthcare packages, 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) plus your birthday off as an extra days holiday!
Suitable candidates will be experienced Credit Controllers with a least 2-3 years' experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate for the Credit Controller role is a detail-oriented and analytical professional with a solid background in finance or accounting. They possess a combination of technical expertise, interpersonal skills and a proactive mindset necessary to effectively manage the credit and collections process.
Duties Will Include
- Assess the creditworthiness of new customers through credit checks and analysis
- Set appropriate credit limits and payment terms based on risk assessment
- Monitor overdue accounts and follow up with customers to secure timely payment
- Utilize various communication channels such as phone calls, emails and letters to maintain regular contact with debtors
- Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies between payments received and outstanding balances
- Investigate and resolve any billing errors or disputes promptly
- Implement strategies to accelerate cash collection and reduce debtor days
- Work closely with sales and finance teams to forecast cash flow and identify potential risks to liquidity
- Build and maintain positive relationships with both internal teams and external customers
- Collaborate with sales and customer service departments to address customer concerns and facilitate payment arrangements
