Claire's School Solutions are currently recruiting for a full-time SEN teaching assistant to work in a school in the Allestree area. Starting from September, you will be working 1-1 with a year 5 pupil with high SEN, therefore SEN experience is required. The pupil is on a part-time timetable so you will be working as a general TA the rest of the time. This role is ongoing. This lovely school's recent OFSTED report states, 'Pupils say that teachers are very good at helping them to learn, to understand and to remember'.
As a teaching assistant you must have a positive mind-set and will have strong engagement abilities to support the development of the student. You will show reliability, good teamwork, flexibility, adaptability and commitment to working. You will also need to be able to build a rapport with the student.
It is essential to have:
- Previous experience working with children.
- Experience working with SEND children.
- Have an understanding of safeguarding.
- A passion for working and supporting children's learning.
- Previous UK experience working in a Primary School environment.
- Strong communication skills that can be demonstrated by an ability to build relationships with other professionals.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
