About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team in a vibrant primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a love for early childhood education and a commitment to creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, with a focus on fostering a love for learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Assist in planning and implementing engaging activities that promote the development of literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Work closely with the class teacher to deliver effective phonics sessions and support children's early reading and writing skills.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback and support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) in a nursery or school setting.
  • A strong understanding of phonics and experience in delivering phonics sessions.
  • A relevant qualification in Early Years education (e.g., Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education or equivalent).
  • A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
