Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a Speech and Language Therapist in the Hillingdon area to support their Learning Disability Community Team. This service is for Adults who have a range of Learning Difficulties. The contract will run for 3 Months (with likelihood of extension).
Job Purpose: Band 7 Speech and Language Therapist
Pay Rate: £35 LTD p/h & £250 Welcome Bonus
Location: Hillingdon Community
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm (Flexible & Hybrid Options Available)
Contract: Full-Time | Part-Time | Hybrid | Flexible | Community
Key Responsibilities:
- Dysphagia qualified speech and language therapist to conduct assessments and dysphagia management for adults with learning disabilities across the Hillingdon community. Prior LD experience is idea; but not essential.
- Some home visits will be essential but flexible and hybrid working will be considered. Supervision is provided by professional lead speech and language therapist for learning disabilities.
- To undertake high quality assessments of patients and make recommendations about appropriate therapeutic interventions for each patient, in accordance with individual assessed needs.
- To provide line management and clinical supervision to allocated Therapies Assistants within the setting and to support Newly Qualified Speech and Language Therapists within the setting.
- To work closely with patients, their family and staff to ensure a personalised plan of delivery.
- To participate in service and practice development.
- To identity training needs, develop and facilitate training sessions to staff and parents/carers
Essential
- Registered with the HCPC
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Speech and Language Therapy
- Dysphagia Qualified, experience working with patients that have Learning Difficulties
- Full UK license and access to own car
