**About the Company

Service Care Solutions are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Unit Coordinator for the Fostering and Permanency team for short term cover with Hackney Council. As a Unit Coordinator, you will provide efficient and comprehensive admin support to a team of social workers whilst maintaining a high professional standard at all times, ensuring confidential and effective support is provided.

**About the Role

The Unit Coordinator will be responsible for managing competing priorities, working methodically, thinking systematically and achieving targets. You will have excellent administration and organisational skills, be able to follow instructions but also use your initiative, and have experience of creating and sustaining systems to coordinate work processes. Additionally, you will have excellent communication skills including the ability to deal with members of the public and staff in a sensitive and appropriate manner.

The successful candidate will also have the ability to understand and retain information about cases including social work interventions and the roles of different agencies in meeting their needs. You will be IT competent, with the skills necessary to work with information management systems, producing good quality data in a variety of formats. Experience in a Fostering/Permanency team dealing with DBS applications, medical forms and other checks is highly desirable.
