Working for this forward-thinking multi-academy trust you will be providing HR support to schools, and the central HR team in Cambridge. This role will require travelling between sites therefore own transport is essential.
Non-term time will be working from home the majority of the time.

Duties & Responsibilities of the HR Officer:
- Identify and deliver the people strategy in line with business plans and wider Trust strategic objectives.
- Support Headteachers with HR matters at a local level, providing timely guidance and seeking support from the HR Business Partner where necessary.
- Be the HR first point of contact including managing recruitment, HR queries, processes, procedures, and some case work.
- Support with HR projects and change programmes that support the Trust's people vision and strategy.
- Manage and co-ordinate all generalist HR matters ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, HR systems and operations.
- Gather and utilise HR management information to assess trends and enable effective performance measurement and targeting of resources.
What you will need to succeed as the HR Officer:
- Previous HR experience in a generalist or specialist environment.
- Previous exposure to supporting and leading on ER casework.
- Ideally have or currently studying towards Professional CIPD Membership (Associate) Level 3 or 5 qualification
- Experience of advising and influencing managers on matters of HR operations.
- Previous experience of managing HR processes, procedures, and policies.
- Evidence of running training sessions and presentations would be ideal.
- Previously worked within the education sector would be an advantage.
- To be pragmatic, adaptable, and able to come up with creative solutions in situations where policies and processes may not apply or currently exist.
- Experience of working with Trade Unions (Desirable)
