Zen Educate are currently seeking a caretaker to work in a lovely Primary School based in Bebington (CH63). This role is set to begin after the October half-term, starting ideally 04/11/2024.
This is a full-time, permanent position working between Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm with an hourly rate of £14:54.
The ideal candidate:
- Previous experience in a caretaking or maintenance role, preferably within an educational setting.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to providing a safe and supportive environment for students.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of school facilities, including classrooms, restrooms, and common areas.
- Conduct regular inspections of the school premises to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and general upkeep.
- Oversee the security of the school buildings and grounds, including opening and closing the premises.
- Assist in setting up and clearing spaces for school events, meetings, and activities.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts within the school.
- Liaise with external contractors for larger maintenance projects.
Zen Educate require all candidates working within a school to hold an enhanced DBS check. If you are interested in this position and do not have an enhanced DBS, you will be required to obtain one via Zen Educate and the cost of this (£45) will be fully reimbursed to you once you have worked 10 shifts.
