Payroll Specialist - £60,000 - £70,000 + Very strong Bonus + 12% employer Pension - West End London

Frazer Jones are delighted to be supporting a leading firm within financial services on the recruitment of a Payroll Specialist to join the firm on a permanent basis.

This role will sit in the HR team and be taking full ownership of the firms payroll across the UK & Europe.

Our client is requiring you to be in the office 4 days per week with 1 day working from home.

The Role:

  • Responsible for end-to-end payroll processing on a monthly basis for the London office.
  • Manage the processing of new starters and leavers, handle manual adjustments, incorporate changes to employee pension contributions, manage benefits for payroll purposes, handle currency exchange adjustments, and oversee various types of employment leave.
  • Generate payroll reports as required, including ad-hoc tasks and audit/year-end reporting.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all payroll and pension-related queries.
  • Serve as the point of contact for all queries related to tax authorities, including reconciliations.

Europe:

  • Collaborate directly with local payroll providers in each relevant jurisdiction to ensure accurate end-to-end payroll processing for all Europe-based employees.
  • Implement split contract arrangements across jurisdictions where applicable and review calculations at year-end.
  • Share absence reports with local payroll providers, ensure their correct application to payroll, provide quarterly reports, and monitor absence and annual leave.

Additional Tasks:

  • Coordinate with the London-based Finance team to apply expenses to payroll.
  • Apply global policies to all regions while incorporating local employment laws and tax considerations.

Skill & experience required:

  • Ability to process volume while applying local rules
  • Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • Strong understanding of the concept of social security and tax residency
  • Strong understanding of benefits and impact on payroll
  • Strong Excel skills including V Lookups and Pivot Table
