An engineering and manufacturing business supplying high-precision machined components to aerospace and defence sectors is now seeking a Cell Manager to lead their growing team.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for Production planning and output, as well as Health & Safety and cost control within the cell. You will be responsible for a team of 15-20 team leaders and operators that operate on a 3-shift pattern.
Cell Manager responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain a continuous improvement ethos within the area
- Analyse quality concerns within the cell, and implement actions to resolve
- Identify areas for operator progression, development, and growth
- Evaluate Cell performance through performance reviews, promotion, and job swaps
- Manage the weekly expenditure of the section, including PPE and labour utilisation
- Responsible for all Health and Safety within the section, including audits
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in supervision within a manufacturing facility, with good people management skills and the ability to get the best out of a team
