Change Recruitment are proud to be working with an award winning manufacturer based in Somerset to find an experienced Customer Account Manager. Looking after some key customer accounts, you will be responsible for maximising sales through building strong relationships.
The ideal candidate will be used to managing customer accounts, be an accomplished negotiator and have strong analytical skills. Duties for this role include:
- Building and developing strong relationships and partnerships on designated customer accounts, maximising profitability.
- Identify & respond to customer needs in a timely manner.
- Identify new business opportunities within existing customer base and potential new customers.
- Ensure that for new customers; appropriate checks are made and customer set up procedures are followed.
- Work closely with other functions to ensure projects are on track, orders are on time and in full and customer service level is at a high standard.
- Monitor & forecast account sales; volume, value and margin. Updating monthly and with an 18 month forward outlook.
- Highlight risks and opportunities for all designated accounts.
- Manage and facilitate the cost process for existing products and new projects.
- Create formal quotations for new product ranges for customers
- Monitor customer pricing, negotiating to secure agreement of required increases on an ongoing basis.
- Identify cost saving opportunities, working closely with other departments in the business to realise benefits and drive margin improvement.
- Seek to keep all stock (finished goods and components/materials) to a minimum and proactively monitor this for designated accounts.
- Manage all excess stock write-offs and sweep-ups with the customer promptly following discontinuation or a change to a product.
