We are looking to appoint a teacher of Social Sciences. We would like candidates with the ability to teach A Level Psychology and A Level Sociology.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate to develop as part of the Social Sciences faculty. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience to develop their own career.
This Academy is a co-educational secondary 'GOOD' school in Buckinghamshire. It is a secondary school, which takes pupils form the age of 11-18. The school is a smaller than average secondary school, with just over 800 pupils attending every year. Together they aspire a love of learning and empower each student to reach their fullest potential who go on to make positive contributions.
The successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:
- QTS;
- A broad base of subject knowledge;
- The ability to teach across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5;
- The ability to lead the subject at KS3 and KS4
- A willingness to lead extra-curricular activities within the department
- A clear understanding of successful classroom practice
- The ability to work effectively as part of a curriculum team;
- The ability to maintain good classroom behaviour;
- Effective interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrable suitability to work with children and young people
