The Role
As Senior Civil Engineer, you will provide multifaceted engineering support, encompassing the provision of design and technical advice across various sectors of the organisation. You will operate within a specific delivery area, fostering and maintaining robust relationships with colleagues from different disciplines and internal clients to ensure cohesive progress. A key aspect of this role involves the line management of technical staff, overseeing the technical outputs of the engineering discipline team. Moreover, as a mentor, you will guide and supervise the professional development of emerging engineers within the company, playing a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of engineering talent.

In-person site attendance in Lingley Mere, Warrington is required three days per week to promote the benefits of face-to-face collaboration, alongside some travel to other sites in the North West and flexible hours to support work-life balance. Initially, you may be expected to attend more frequently to familiarise yourselves with the site, the team, and your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in collaborative efforts with internal teams, ensuring project delivery aligns with client expectations and technical standards.
- Provide authoritative engineering guidance and manage project lifecycles, from data analysis to documentation and technical review.
- Assume interim leadership roles, demonstrating adaptability and readiness to uphold senior responsibilities.
- Promote the company's technical prowess within the industry by contributing to scholarly articles and supporting educational outreach.
- Uphold stringent health and safety protocols, mentor emerging talent, and drive the enhancement of engineering practices and quality assurance.
Skills & Experience:
- Qualified to degree level/HND equivalent or have equivalent skills, knowledge and experience
- Chartered/Incorporated engineer, or someone with a demonstrable equivalent level of expertise and working towards chartership
- Working knowledge and experience of capital and strategic civil engineering projects in highly technical and commercial environments
- Experience of providing technical advice, influencing and directing the delivery of successful engineering outcomes.
- Hold a current UK/EU driving licence.
