Role: Night Concierge
Rota/Hours: 18.30pm - 06.30am - 4on/4 off

Salary: Between £28k - £32k, with a discretionary bonus up to 10%

Location: London, SE1

Main Duties: The Concierge provides first contact and safeguarding to Residents. This includes a high level of customer service, recognising safeguarding concerns, identifying and reporting risks to people, report writing and providing handovers.

  • The Concierge controls access to the building, monitors CCTV systems, carries out regular patrols and H&S checks and deals with emergencies.
  • The Concierge must be aware of those residents at high risk and provide special safeguards for their specific medical needs.
  • When roving, the Concierge are expected to visit and patrol all areas of the building and grounds on a rotation basis.

Shift Duties:

  • To support the work of Management Co, by ensuring that it and the Residents are safe and secure at all times.
  • To provide a high level of customer service by being vigilant, alert, proactive, approachable and responsive to the needs of the residents at all times

Health & Safety:

  • To actively ensure the security of the building through door supervision and management, visual inspection, internal and external patrols, regular Health and Safety checks and monitoring the CCTV system.
  • To record any finding through the established procedures.
  • To take action in the event of a fire or emergency and calling the emergency services as appropriate

Safeguarding: To ensure that all residents are protected from harm and that any concerns are reported.

Administration:

  • To complete all duty logs, day books, checklists, handovers and reports in line with ManCo procedures.
  • To log any maintenance issues.

General Duties:

  • To ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to at all times by residents, visitors and contractors.
  • To contribute by ensuring a high standard of general upkeep and maintenance.
  • To regularly participate in the review of policies in line with legislation.
  • To attend supervisions, staff meetings and any other relevant meetings as directed
  • To attend training as required by the post and agreed by the Estate Manager.
  • To work proactively as part of a team.
  • To carry out any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Estate Manager.
