Payroll Business Partner - remote, Salary: up to £60k, *This role is working on an initial 6-month fixed term contract. Remote / home based role – must be UK based.

We have an opportunity for a Payroll Business Partner to join a market leading business, who are part of a global group. We are Keen to hear from candidates with experience in a Payroll Business Partner / Payroll Systems Analyst or similar role with a strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll processes and systems. ADP experience highly advantageous.

Payroll Business Partner - The role:

This pivotal role is essential for ensuring the seamless daily operations and ongoing enhancement of the company's payroll system in the UK, which serves approximately 1,200 employees.

As they navigate the integration of an acquired business and transition to a new payroll provider (ADP), they face a range of changes and challenges that require careful management.

They are looking for a Payroll Business Partner who possess the ability to proactively identify risks, address issues, analyse challenges, and collaborate effectively with the broader team and various business units to devise solutions, test outcomes, and resolve any complications that may arise. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of all payroll system outputs and be accountable for swiftly addressing any issues that occur.

  • Requirements Gathering and Assessment: Proactively gather and evaluate requirements for system changes, ensuring comprehensive documentation and reporting of necessary updates.
  • Configuration Review and Maintenance: Regularly review and maintain current system configurations, ensuring they meet operational needs and are optimised for efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide insightful recommendations for enhancements, advise on best practices, and explore opportunities for increased efficiency in future system releases.
  • KPI Management: Design, develop, and maintain a comprehensive monthly KPI report pack to track performance metrics and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Point of Contact for Integration Queries: Serve as the primary contact for all inquiries related to the integration, payroll system, data management, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution: Swiftly troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve payroll integration issues, collaborating with team members when necessary to ensure timely resolution.
  • Report Development: Assist in the creation of a suite of reports aimed at enhancing payroll accuracy, promoting smart working practices, and identifying areas for growth and improvement.

Candidate requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a Payroll Business Partner / Payroll Systems Analyst or similar role, with a strong understanding of the end-to-end payroll process.
  • Ideally have experience working with ADP.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional ability to cultivate positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Highly self-motivated, demonstrating initiative when required.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
