Our client is big in telecoms and energy. The need an Electrical Estimator to complement the Energy team due to expansion. This is a hybrid role.
You will:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for energy projects, including power connections, EVCP, battery, and solar installations. This role involves close collaboration with project management and delivery teams to ensure projects meet company standards and profitability targets.
- Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Bid Preparation: Analyse tender documents and support the bid process, including tender submissions.
- Risk Analysis: Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Cost Management: Monitor project costs and provide ongoing support to project teams.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research on material costs and industry trends.
- Collaboration and Communication: Engage with stakeholders to gather information and maintain clear communication.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed cost reports and maintain accurate records of estimates and bids.
You will have:
- Higher level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field; professional memberships (RICS, CIOB) advantageous.
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in the utilities sector, preferably in power.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, proficient in estimating tools, and ability to work under pressure.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel as needed.
