Qualification: Candidate must be ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA qualified accountants
Sector: Experience within Not-For-Profit, Housing or Charitable sector is highly desirable for this position
Duties of the Finance Manager:
- Effectively lead, manage and motivate the team responsible for the production of statutory accounts and processing of financial routines
- Maintenance of the finance and property databases as well as all creditor, debtor, and payroll services
- Act as the technical expert in accounting and lead on accounting policy and practice as well as having specific responsibility for the completion of quarterly VAT returns
- Responsible the completion of the statutory accounts within agreed timescales, including managing the external audit process
- An excellent technical accountant with experience of FRS102, you will be an experienced people manager and be able to support your team through a period of change
- Ability to work under pressure, deliver to deadlines and manage conflicting priorities, and have experience of planning and leading a year end process
- Experience of working within a housing association, charity or not-for-profit is desirable, as is experience with SUN and/or Aareon QL
