This position is for a Management Accountant in the Retail industry, based in North Bristol. The role involves a range of responsibilities within the Accounting & Finance department working as within a inclusive and synergistic team.

Client Details

I'm currently representing a leading sports retailer in the North of Bristol who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team.

The business has existed for decades and over the past few years has positioned itself as a leading national retailer selling sports equipment across the UK. You'll be working with alongside another Management Accountant who has been part of the team and embedded well, looking for a counterpart to help the business implement and understand finance systems that are primarily Excel based with a view to improving them in the long-term.

With headquarters based in North Bristol they foster a collaborative and engaging work environment.

Description

  • Prepare financial statements, budgets, and other accounting reports
  • Analyse financial performance and forecasts
  • Assist with annual audits and implement audit recommendations
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop financial strategies
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Assist in the improvement of internal processes and policies
  • Provide financial advice to management to aid in business planning
  • Participate in cross-functional team meetings to provide financial insights

Profile

A successful Management Accountant should have:

  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Professional accreditation such as ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fantastic communication and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence and tenacity in dealing with a variety of systems with a desire to constantly improve
