This role requires a strategic Transport Manager who is capable of overseeing logistics operations in a fast-paced environment within the Transport & Distribution industry. Located in Oxford, you will be tasked with the efficient management of a large fleet and team, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Description
The Transport Manager will be responsible for the following
- Oversee the overall logistics operations and ensure efficiency.
- Manage a large team, promoting a collaborative working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all transport laws and regulations.
- Manage and maintain a large fleet of vehicles.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to improve transport operations.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Handle any logistics-related issues or discrepancies.
- Report key operational metrics to senior management.
Profile
A successful Transport Manager should have:
- Transport Manager CPC National/International qualifications
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the Transport & Distribution industry.
- Strong knowledge of transport regulations and laws.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle logistics-related issues.
