Excellent opportunity to join this thriving and expanding business as a Commercial Underwriter. This award winning dynamic business is well established in the market and have carved a strong reputation for providing specialist, niche and innovate Insurance products for a range of clients.
This role is on their newly formed Trading Team, where they have listened to feedback and set up a team to provide underwriting solutions to their partners. It will be concentrating on new business growth, embracing the vision and focus of the team.
The Role:
- New Business Underwriter responsible for reviewing Broker presentations and underwriting risks in line with authority levels
- Underwriting profitable business and contributing towards the maintenance of acceptable Loss ratios
- Implementing KPI's for new business growth
- Collaborating with colleagues and Key Account Managers to secure business
- Learn & adopt systems, product lines and internal procedures
- Provide technical expertise for scheme business to Brokers and Internal Stakeholders
- Prospecting and networking with designated Broker partners
- Assisting with scheme testing, identifying product enhancements and rating initiatives
Requirements:
- Experience in Commercial Insurance, ideally property and/or liability and/or package
- Cert CII or progressing towards

Training will be provided on company products and systems. If you have a Commercial Insurance background and don't have the required technical knowledge, but do possess a number of the relevant skills/traits, we would be keen to talk with you.
