Our SME accountancy firm who is growing from strength to strength are seeking a graduate accountant to join their team. The ideal candidate will be keen to carve out a long term accounting career working for a caring and motivating employer.
Duties will include:
- Owning purchase ledger duties
- Owning sales ledger duties
- Reconciling multiple bank accounts on Xero
- Revenue analysis
- Payroll preparation
- Pension filing
- Help in preparation of month end reporting
- Assisting with pulling together adhoc reports as requested by clients. These could include budgets, forecasting, KPI reports, etc.
- Direct communications with stakeholders
- Direct and Indirect Tax Returns preparations
- Annual Accounts preparation
- Ad hoc work as needed
Skills/Experience
- Minimum 2:1 Degree in Accounting and finance degree
- Numerate
- Good attention to detail
- IT literate & competent in the use of Microsoft Office - candidates will be required to complete an Excel test
- Willingness to learn and become part of a team
- Self-motivated approach to work
- Good multitasking and prioritising skills are key due to varying workload
- Working well under pressure
