Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to assemble, install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality. This role is crucial to ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble and fit mechanical components according to specifications.
- Install, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance checks and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve machinery performance.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role.
- Relevant trade certification or diploma in mechanical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
