Accounts Assistant (French speaking)

Orka Financial are recruiting for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant (Fluent French Speaker) to join their clients Global Finance Team based in Bracknell.

The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the accounts payable department while also acting as the first point of contact for French-speaking customers. This role involves working closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure smooth financial operations across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable:

  • Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.

  • Match invoices to purchase orders and resolve discrepancies.

  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, and update internal accounting systems.

  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any payment issues.

  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals and account reconciliations.

  • Customer Support (French-Speaking):

  • Serve as the first point of contact for French-speaking customers, responding to inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner.

  • Address and resolve customer payment issues, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Accounts Receivable Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the accounts receivable team to monitor outstanding invoices and ensure timely payments.

  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies related to customer accounts or payments.

  • Cross-Functional Support:

  • Support the finance team with daily administrative tasks as required.

  • Participate in continuous process improvements and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance department.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across different departments to support global financial operations.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
  • Previous experience in an accounts assistant or finance-related role
  • Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
