Seven Resourcing are currently looking for a Children and Family Worker to start work in a domestic abuse service in Merton. This is a temporary contract initially for 3 months with the possibility of placement extension.
Pay - £12.03 per hour.
The role of a Children and Family Worker:
You will provide support, advice and assistance to women & children who have or may have experienced domestic abuse.
The key aims of our children and families service, in accordance with our service delivery, Every Child Matters and the Supporting People Programme is to:
Improve each client's and their child(ren) quality of life and promoting and maintaining independent living.
To provide a high-quality service to women and their child(ren) ensuring they are provided with a safe environment
Key Responsibilities as a Children and Family Worker:
To motivate and empower service users and their child(ren) in all aspects of daily living.
To support Service users and their child(ren) using a support plan system. To formulate, implement and review support plans with the participation of service users and external agencies. Considering that support plans are age appropriate.
To advocate on behalf of families, and where appropriate accompanying them to relevant agencies.
Applicant Requirements:
- Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
- Compliance: DBS on the Update Service, Right to Work in the UK
- Hours: 37 hours a week Monday to Friday
- Female only applicants.
