**Azure Infrastructure Engineer

We have a great opportunity for an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer who enjoys a challenge in an ever-growing technology focused business. You will play a key role in supporting the business to implement solutions that provide benefits to our users and clients, whilst ensuring all the existing solutions are well maintained and supported.

This Azure Engineer can be based in our Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Reading or Bristol city centre offices with a hybrid workstyle.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the Azure infrastructure, ensuring alerts are handled, virtual machines are updated etc.
  • Maintaining Networking solutions such as Cisco Meraki, Zscaler, Azure Networking.
  • Aid with improving the security posture of the business.
  • Working on projects to implement new solutions and improve existing ones.
  • Working with the service desk to highlight key issues and tackle root causes of issues that arise.

Key Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong proven knowledge of Azure services such as Entra ID, App Services, Storage, Backups, Administration of Azure SQL, Conditional Access, Front Door, Load Balancers.
  • Experience of Windows server administration - IIS, Update Management, Troubleshooting.
  • Experience with O365 Suite Administration, Intune & Defender for Endpoint.
  • Strong Networking experience - LAN/WAN/SDWAN/Azure networking such as routing, firewalls, network peering etc.
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards.
  • Great communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong technical knowledge with an aptitude for learning
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to complete tasks independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • SQL knowledge - SQL Managed instance management, Database restoration etc
