JOB- Supply Chain and Logistics Manager
LOCATION- Abingdon, Oxfordshire
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- £45,000 to £55,000 per annum (plus benefits)
Premier Engineering is working with a client in the manufacturing sector who is looking to expand their team by bringing on a Supply Chain and Logistics Manager. This role is based in their Abgindon office and offers a fantastic opportunity for career growth and development.
The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Knowledge/Experience in supply chain management and logistics
- Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (BSc, MSc, CIPS, etc.)
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory management
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead and manage a team effectively
- Proficiency in using supply chain management software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
The Supply Chain and Logistics Manager role will involve:
- Overseeing the entire supply chain and logistics operations
- Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency
- Managing relationships with suppliers and negotiating contracts
- Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring timely procurement of materials
- Coordinating with production, engineering, and other departments to meet project requirements
- Analyzing supply chain data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
