Financial Control Manager | £300-400pd| Well-known Charity | 6 month maternity cover contract | 2 days in London office
This Financial Control Manager position is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respectedcharity. This crucial role would be a vital position to effectively lead and develop the finance team and deliver both statutory reporting as well as manage the operational financial support to the organisation and providing technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading and developing a team of 5 across financial accounting and transactional finance
- Preparing statutory reporting and delivering both quarterly and yearly accounts prep.
- Identify and implement opportunities to transform and improve the internal controls to ensure compliance across the finance function
- Lead on direct and indirect tax planning to minimise risk
- Monitor cashflow across the organisation
- Oversee the treasury function and procedures
Specification
- A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
- A strong and capable manager with previous management experience
- Ideally experience of working in the charity sector however not essential
- Understanding of working in a complex finance function
- Experience of leading the year-end
- A competent Excel user
This is a great opportunity to work with a motivated, technically strong and passionate team. The position would be 2 days in their Central London offices and could potentially be extended. Candidates must be immediately available or available at short notice.
