National Contractor Manager

We are on the lookout for a visionary Contractor Management Lead to drive the evolution of our clients self-employed delivery contractor model. This strategic role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a passion for compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will be at the forefront of developing and implementing strategies that optimise our contractor management processes.

This role is a 50/50 split of strategic responsibilities- overseeing the operation, looking at potential future models of delivery in the self-employed driver market and how to align/best deliver service as the business continues to grow and change.

The other half of your role will be to manage the compliance/assurance of the self-employed drivers, overseeing the engagement and strategies in hard to engage routes/locations. You will be the business expert in this space but will have additional external legal support for any contractual changes.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies and procedures to enhance contractor management processes.
  • Provide advice and direction to operations teams managing a network of self-employed delivery contractors across multiple locations.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and third-party entities.
  • Offer expert guidance on legislative compliance and contract development.
  • Proactively identify and address risks and issues to maintain operational momentum.
  • Present data-driven insights and strategic proposals to senior management.
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration and excellence within the contractor management team.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in contractor management, with a strong background in recruitment and compliance.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities with excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Flexibility to travel nationwide and adapt to the dynamic nature of the industry.
