Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) is a department within the Risk Division. As a Second Line of Defence function, NFRM is responsible for oversight across all aspects of non-financial risk (NFR), including risk identification and assessment, control framework, risk appetite and scenario analysis.

You will lead the newly formed New Business Office, AI and Digital Assets Framework, Regulatory and Audit team whose core mandate is own and manage the Frameworks covering the risk identification, analysis, management, approval, and lifecycle management relating to new business including new products, initiatives, major change projects, and new non-vanilla transactions. You will also support the development of the risk management frameworks through which Digital Assets and AI are assessed.

Your key responsibilities

  • Managing all elements relating to the New Business Office and Non-Vanilla Transactions framework design, maintenance and monitoring.
  • Supporting the Head of DA/AI in the development of the risk management framework through which Digital Assets and AI are assessed.
  • Partnering with the New Business Office, Controls Execution Office, AI, and Digital Assets teams to implement new or augmented framework design and implementation.
  • Running all engagement with Regulators and Audit across the New Business Office, AI, and Digital Assets.
  • Managing all audit and regulatory remediation projects.
  • Owning RTC responsibilities, where relevant, to the risk types.
  • Managing a team based in London and Mumbai.

Your skills and experience

  • Significant experience in a similar role within Financial Services and extensive experience building and implementing frameworks.
  • Knowledge, and understanding, of AI and Digital Assets as emerging risk topics.
  • Extensive experience dealing with Auditors and Regulators and an ability to define action plans to address audit findings, coordinate execution and produce high quality closure memos.
  • Ability to communicate concisely to senior stakeholders, constructively discuss concepts, take on feedback and adapt accordingly.
  • Previous experience working with senior stakeholders within a high-pressure dynamic environment.
  • A proven track record of developing and communicating a sound strategy that addresses both short term commitments and longer-term strategic objectives.
