Role Overview:
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be responsible for managing the company's purchase ledger, ensuring all supplier invoices are processed and paid in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Invoice Processing: Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchase orders and contracts.
- Payment Runs: Prepare and execute payment runs, ensuring timely payments to suppliers while maintaining accurate records.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies, liaising with suppliers and internal departments as necessary.
- Query Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or queries related to invoices, payments, or purchase orders promptly.
- Expense Claims: Process employee expense claims, ensuring they comply with company policies and are properly authorised.
- Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the purchase ledger by posting transactions accurately and promptly, ensuring the ledger reflects up-to-date and correct balances.
