We have an exciting opportunity for a Care Assistant to work in an innovative new service, piloting Leeds City Council's new Community Health and Wellbeing model

P osition: Care Assistant
Location: LS12 and LS13 area of Leeds which includes: Bramley (Bradley Hill, Tannery Yard) Lower Wortley (New Blackpool, Far Royds) Farnley (Silver Royd Hill) Low Moor Side (New Farnley, Upper Moor Side)
Job type: Permanent, 3 x full-time or 6 x part-time positions available
Salary: Shift pay rather than pay per call, which means you are paid from the start of your first call to the end of your last call within a shift. £12.30 p/hr (drivers) or £11.75 p/hr (walkers)

Mileage - 45p per mile drivers or & 20p per mile (cyclists). PLUS bonus schemes: up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £250 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide personal care that protects people's dignity

  • Support people to meet their outcomes, involving families and professionals
  • Connect people to their communities by accessing local support and services
  • Deliver personalised care through individual choice and control
  • Be a strong and effective communicator, documenting, reporting, and sharing information with the right people at the right time

About You:

No experience necessary!

We are looking for people with the right values so you may have no direct experience. You may already have many of the skills needed to make an excellent Care Assistant; patience, empathy and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively are all essential qualities for this role.

You will be provided with the training you need to be an outstanding Care Assistant.
