We are seeking a dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join our team at a lovely new school. This part-time position is perfect for an individual who is passionate about contributing to the educational journey of young children and is looking for a work-life balance.
Day to day of the role:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans that engage Year 2 students and foster their academic and social development.
- Assess and record students' progress, preparing reports and communicating with parents and guardians to support student learning.
- Create a vibrant, inclusive, and safe classroom environment that supports all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials and integrate best practices in teaching.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching at the primary level, specifically Year 2.
- Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- Excellent classroom management skills and ability to foster a positive learning environment.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- Effective communication skills with both children and adults.
