A fantastic one-off opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Assistant Events Planning Manager to join a supportive and wonderful team. Reporting to the Meetings & Events Planning Manager and deputising in their absence.

You will assist with overseeing the team and responsible for the effective planning and coordination of their large meetings and events. You're the first point of contact for all client queries and ensuring all requirements of their meetings and events are communicated effectively resulting in a successful event.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and delegating duties to a team of Meeting & Events Planners
  • Coordinate assigned events coming through to the sales office to exceed expectations and maximise revenue at all times
  • Ensure accurate production of function sheets for each event with clear billing instructions and communication of these details to operations team
  • Coordinate each booking to the required company standards delivering an excellent service to all clients
  • Prepare Function Sheets to ensure they are completed to the agreed standard, ensuring that the information and data within the system is quality controlled
  • Ensure events are coordinated within the agreed deadlines and any queries resolved in a timely manner
  • Conduct final details show rounds to the required standard to each client

What do you need to qualify for this role?

  • Experience in high volume corporate meetings and events planning with a hotel
  • Proven success in event planning or coordination
  • Strong team management, delegation, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in building and maintaining positive business relationships
  • Excellent organisational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle pressure and make good decisions quickly
