Our client is a leading food business who supply to a variety of the major retailers. As they continue to expand and grow their presence in the marketplace they are now seeking a driven and ambitious QA Technologist to join their business.
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct routine raw material intake inspections, assess customer returns, and perform positive release assessments to ensure product quality meets specifications.
- Lead investigations into incidents, analytical testing, audits, and customer complaints. Implement corrective actions and measure their effectiveness.
- Maintain our due diligence records and ensure compliance with customer-specific testing requirements.
- Ensure full product traceability throughout the supply chain.
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly QA tasks such as hygiene and fabrication audits, calibrations, and glass & plastic audits, ensuring timely follow-up on any actions.
- Manage customer sample requests efficiently.
- Provide detailed information and trend analysis for monthly quality and management meetings.
- Review and verify format certificates of conformance (COAs).
- Ensure the site is 'Audit Ready' at all times
- Work collaboratively within the technical team and with other departments to ensure our food products are legal, safe, and of the highest quality
