We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing / Engineering ProjectManager working within Operations in Watton and offers a flexible working environment.
As a Manufacturing / Engineering ProjectManager, you will be responsible for managing a small team covering multiple Production & Development contracts within the business.
You will operate as the key interface between the manufacturing teams and the rest of the business ensuring plans are available and resources are in place to successfully deliver and support the product portfolio. The role will require planning and execution to ensure on time delivery against demand whilst maintaining or reducing Unit Production Cost without compromising quality of the deliverable products. The right candidate will champion and facilitate a culture of continuous improvements focusing on improving lead times, increasing throughput and cost reduction activities. The ability to engage and create collaborative relationships across multiple functions including Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Finance as well as with business unit leaders is critical.
Responsibilities Include
Qualified in Engineering ideally (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) OR Qualified by experience
Previous experience working in a similar Project Engineering role with New Product Development Experience.
Any relevant experience working in a Project Engineering Managerial position or having a formal Project Management qualification is very desirable.
Able to communicate a customer's needs into technical specifications.
Knowledge of any regulated manufacturing
Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Have previous experience working in a similar manufacturing environment.
Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude
Good problem-solving skills
Be involved in developing and evolving new projects for the business
Liaising with other departments of to ensure projects are on time and in budget.
Scoping out all projects from customer requirements.
Working with and supporting ProjectManagers and teams.
Previous experience of project, operational and budget management is preferred
Experience of delivering operational improvements across all areas
Prince2 or equivalent is desirable
Degree/HND in relevant subject or equivalent
