As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with SEN, providing 1-1 support, and additional assistance to teachers in the classroom. You will work in a collaborative and supportive environment, helping students to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of individualised learning plans.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Encourage student engagement and participation in class activities.
  • Support classroom management and behaviour management.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to address student needs effectively.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with students.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in different classroom environments.
  • A willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning would be advantageous.
