Careers Advisor / Sales Person

As a Careers Advisor, you will play a key role in guiding prospective students through their decision-making journey by understanding their career goals and aligning them with the most suitable courses we offer. You'll combine expert product knowledge with a consultative sales approach to drive enrolments and support our mission of empowering learners to build successful careers in health and fitness.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Sales Development • Proactively identify and engage with potential learners via events, referrals, and marketing campaigns. • Implement consultative sales techniques to understand individual goals and recommend tailored course options or bundles. • Develop and execute strategies to convert leads into enrolled students.

2. Career Guidance & Course Matching • Understand and articulate how our qualifications support various career pathways in the health and fitness industry. • Ask in-depth questions to assess interests, motivations, and aspirations, and offer clear course recommendations aligned with individual goals.

3. Lead Management & Communication • Respond promptly to inbound enquiries via phone and email, providing detailed and accurate information about course offerings. • Maintain ongoing communication with prospects to guide them through the decision-making and enrolment process. • Ensure CRM systems and lead trackers are kept up to date with notes, activity, and follow-ups.

4. Course & Product Knowledge • Maintain a deep understanding of all qualifications, including delivery methods, assessment requirements, and learning outcomes. • Keep the Careers Advisor Sales Bible up to date with scripts, competitor comparisons, FAQs, and advisor notes. • Stay informed about new courses, updates, and industry developments to ensure accurate and up-to-date advice.

5. Events & Networking • Represent the organisation at career fairs, industry trade shows, and other networking events to promote our qualifications and engage directly with potential students. • Support sales activity at events by delivering compelling information and capturing leads.

6. Sales Strategy & Collaboration • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted sales campaigns and promotions. • Share insights from student interactions to shape messaging, campaigns, and product development.

7. Payment Processing • Build custom course orders in Shopify, apply discounts where appropriate, and issue payment links or order forms to students as needed. • Ensure clear communication of payment options and next steps. • Send Go Cardless payment links.

8. Enrolment Support (Succession Planning) • Provide backup support for the enrolments process when the Sales Administrator is on leave or during peak periods. • Tasks may include enrolling learners onto the LMS, registering them with awarding organisations, and sending confirmation emails.

9. Market Insight & Feedback • Monitor competitor activity, student preferences, and industry trends to keep course offerings relevant and competitive. • Collect and relay student feedback to help inform service improvements and new course development.

10. Reporting & Team Engagement • Track and report on lead conversions. • Participate in monthly team meetings, company events, and contribute to continuous improvement discussions. • Manage incoming messages from the shared info@ inbox and ensure timely responses or escalation where appropriate.
