Locum Speech and Language Therapist

Ackerman Pierce are looking for 2 x LD Speech and Language Therapists B6.

They must have experience in Dysphagia assessments with patients with LD or neurodiverse needs.

This is a Hybrid role so candidates must have their own transport to do face to face visits.

Full time Mon - Fri but would consider part time.

The post-holder will work together in the team to provide comprehensive, specialist SLT services to culturally diverse service users with a learning disability, autism and co-occurring conditions.

Service users will have complex needs, including mental health problems, physical health issues and may display distressed behaviours/ behaviours that challenge.

As a Speech and Language Therapist your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering compassionate, outcome-focused services in line with the role's requirements.
  • Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve key performance indicators and ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Identifying and addressing service needs at the earliest opportunity and implementing appropriate interventions.
  • Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to enhance service effectiveness.
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring effective communication with relevant parties.
  • Adhering to professional standards, policies, and regulatory frameworks to support organizational goals.

Pay Rate: £27/h

What we'll need from you for the Paeds Speech and Language Therapist:

  • Be a qualified Speech and Language Therapist registered with the HCPC
  • Be a specialist with proven skills and experience to engage and deliver therapeutic interventions with children and young people with complex needs
  • Experienced in supporting teams around a child or young person to ensure they are being provided with clinically informed living and learning environments and experiences
  • Be a confident, engaging and effective, model, guide, leader and trainer.
  • Be highly organised and ready to take the initiative
  • Be committed to ensuring the best outcomes for young people
