The Role

This is an exciting time of growth for us, and we are hiring a Junior BI Engineer to help us continue this success. This is a great opportunity to develop a varied and rewarding career with a company that invests in, recognises and rewards its people.

Reporting to the Data Warehouse Team Lead, you will design and develop dashboards and reports that meet stakeholder needs, providing support for daily refreshes and outputs.

You will also:

  • Develop visual reports, KPI scorecards and dashboards using Power BI
  • Track and monitor BI usage, identifying ways to improve solutions and resolving all production problems in a timely manner
  • Work with the team to ensure that BI Dashboard and Reporting requirements are developed with the most appropriate design of Data Structures, Cubes and Power BI Models to support self-service BI
  • Collaborate with the business to provide ongoing support for projects
  • Support regular reporting (daily, weekly, monthly)
  • Connect to data sources, import data and transform data for Business Intelligence.

Some out of hours cover may be required.

To be successful as our Junior BI Engineer, you'll have demonstrable experience within a similar role delivering business reporting and have knowledge of tools such as Tableau, Power BI, SQL, QlikView and Qlik Sense. You'll be;

  • Data focussed with the ability to translate business questions into data and information needs
  • proficient in SQL, ideally SQL Server
  • Experienced in identifying and resolving data quality issues
  • Strive to continuously improve yourself and what you deliver to our customers
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Able to communicate effectively (verbally and written) at all levels, ensuring that information is delivered in a format relevant to the audience.
  • Highly numerate with attention to detail.
